Title Sequence Analysis

Insidious

An example of a title sequence that I particularly enjoy is the ones for the 2010 film, Insidious. I find the use of colour and font matches the mood of the film, as well as giving a very religious/demonic feel, which makes the genre clear to the audience from the start. I feel that how the titles appear in the film are a good influence for the film that we will make.

The Walking Dead

Another title sequence that I find interesting is the one for the hit TV series 'The Walking Dead'. The video combined with music used gives the titles a boost on how scary they are. The simple bold titles almost blend in with the video by using the same colour scheme as the majority of the shots, making it feel as if the titles are actually part of each shot and not just edited on. I feel like this could be a great influence for our movie.
